This home represents a true collector who has a passion for beautiful fabrics and furnishings. The approach was to create an environment which celebrated antiques. Every room has a focal point, something that creates visual interest and sparks conversation. Something French, something English, something Italian – we mix pieces of different styles, textures and periods but there is balance and harmony to the overall feel.
We presented a well-considered, cohesive palette, using a mixture of pieces from The Vault that created a depth and soulfulness that the client loved. Along with other additional complementing pieces of soft furniture, fabrics, textures, divine artwork, and tapestries that were all sourced by Phoebe to create layers of warmth, texture, interest and calmness.
Throughout the home, there is balance through colour and tone. This house celebrates a palette of whites, off whites and neutrals. Demonstrating that white is not one colour but a thousand tones and shades, all slightly and subtly different from each other.
We love to mix antiques and contemporary art. We fell in love with the artist Jenny Topfer. Jenny’s work is soft, layered and beautiful. Each canvas is worked in layers over many months, often years. The history of the paintings is evident in the build up of marks and pigment.
